TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

TabTrade — The Short Version

Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.

The BlackBull connection matters. It suggests the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.

The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.

What you can trade: FX, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For a broker that launched in March 2026, the breadth is broad.

Platforms

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both is useful. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MetaTrader previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is said to be coming. That should round things out when it arrives.

Costs

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade has no minimum.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, custom pricing. Not relevant to the average person. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

Execution Speed

The speed is where this broker actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform run a much wider range.

Does it matter? For short-term trading, it does. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Combine those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering is strong. Few brokers with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

Now, the part you need to be straight about. TabTrade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.

But. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. None of this guarantee anything. It should be part of how you think about it.

The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense depends on you.
